Late bloomer...

Hello!  I have to apologize, but an unexpected phone call meant a road trip would supersede the completion of my blooming flowers this past weekend.  I traveled over 800 miles on Saturday and will return the day I am should be making the return trip home the same day I was to be sharing with y'all on my blog.

Therefore ....  Please allow me to share my flowers in progress...

This will become another small wall hanging for either myself or a friend in need of a smile ... I will decide once I complete it.  I actually brought my machine on my road trip, but once I got it set up, I realized I didn't bring all of the right tools and I did not want to make a rushed, imperfect finish, just to say I got it complete. All things considered, with the unexpected trip, the miles on the road, and the desire to do a nice job ... surely y'all could grant me a bit of understanding this time {wink}

I want to thank Carla from Creatin' in the Sticks for putting together this wonderful blog hop! I've been excited about this one since I first heard about it and have been planning it since early spring.  Believe it or not, I did not realize the wording in my hanging actually matched the title of our hop until I started looking to stitch it ... wasn't really paying attention but now I think it's pretty cool.

Please be sure to visit my fellow bloggers today as I am sure they have planted you some beautiful flowers to share:

Tuesday, June 12th

I will thank you all in advance for the time and consideration you take when you leave words of kindness about what I have shared with you today. Each and every comment is read, appreciated, and a true blessing to me.

Thank you and God Bless!

  5. Love your piece. It meets the hop criteria as it contains a flower or three or four not to mention the thought stitched on the top. Sorry about the unexpected trip and especially sorry you left key pieces of your machine at home (been there, done that and it's very painful)

  6. Your wall hanging looks very cute and of course, it takes time for embroidery and applique. So it looks as though you have done quite a big of work on this project. Enjoy!

  11. Your little quilt looks so sweet! Was the requirement to make a "finished" project? I thought as long as you made something with flowers and shared it you fulfilled your obligation. Looks wonderful.

  16. Your wall hanging is so pretty!! Life threw me a curve ball yesterday and I couldn't finish writing my post so it published half done. Well, it didn't contain everything I wanted it to. So here's hoping Carla does this hop again next year so I can include the pics and project that was supposed to be included.

  18. Your wall hanging is going to be really cute. I, too, have prepared and packed for sewing in a different place only to realize that I didn't bring all I needed. Drat! I decided that maybe the good Lord wanted me to have a bit of a rest.

  21. So far-so good. It looks good from here. I'm in FL and not sure where you are. Hope everything is OK now. 800 miles is A-LOT of driving! How many hours were you actually driving, Did you do all the driving?. We have done 10he to see our son at Univ.and 22hr to see family (but we tell ourselves we are too old to drive all the way to DE) and now fly. I am concerned for your safety if you drive it straight...We know what that is like! I will look forward to your finished piece & TUTORIAL 😀.
