Plans Change Giveaway

Come and join me on my front porch this morning....

Gorgeous morning to sit and soak in the beauty!

While I was sitting and soaking, I was thinking of things to be done and things I wanted to get done ...

It lead me to think about things I wanted to do for you, my wonderful blogging friends.  I received this recently from Connecting Threads:
Three yards of Bits & Bobbins by Jenni Calo for Connecting Threads
(one yard each)
and
Two yards of The Sew It Book Collection by The Vintage Workshop,
Amy Barrickman for Red Roostar Fabrics
(one yard each)

I purchased both sets of these fabrics for use with this pattern:
Brand New Eva Sewing Basket Pattern by Hemma Design
(removed from plastic case for photo purposes)

Held by one super, adorable 5 year old model:
Who wanted her picture included :)

So you've heard the path that good intentions have paved??
Well ... I seriously had super good intentions.  However, with the changes that have been happening in my hemisphere lately ... mostly good, thank you ever so much! ... my plans have had to change as I've run out of time to get done everything I want to get done ...
And I'm rolling with it and hoping to benefit you with those changes ...
With a GIVEAWAY!!!!
What do you think? That okay with you? Here's the deal ...

okay, gotta be a follower just because
those of you who read me deserve some sort of special treatment ;) ...
Seriously!
In one comment, share with me your choice above ...
Do you like just the pattern, do you like the pattern and the Bits & Bobbins
or do you like the pattern and the Sewing Book Collection?
And I'm thinking ... in your one comment ...
also tell me do you like fireworks?
lighting them?
watching them?
waste of money?

As fo me ... for my trip next weekend, I'm making a tote:
either this one:
or this one:
as my "carry-all" carry-on to my mom's.

Those are my plans for the weekend ... I'm decompressing from my first week back to work after seven years as a stay-at-home mom by sewing something in my sewing room and enjoying the gorgeous views out my front porch.

Oh Yeah!
Drawing will close on Tuesday evening, July 5th at 8 p.m. Mountain Time (U.S.)
This giveaway is open to international friends too :)
Goodness ... please remember to leave your email in your comment
if you are a no-reply blogger, otherwise another winner will be chosen
as I will be unable to contact you ... and that's just sad, sad, sad!

Happy Hugs and Warm Hearted Wishes!!

  1. How kind of you to share! I love that sewing tote! I've never seen the pattern, and either set of fabric would be just darling with it. I can see why you chose the prints you did! Cute Cute!
Fireworks, love to go watch them, won't buy them. (Visions of horrible ER trips come to mind!) But, no fireworks in our county this year, we are just recovering from a wildfire and there is a ban.
And of course, I am a follower!

  2. Good Morning! Love the view from your front porch! Your adorable model is so cute! I think it is very wonderful of you to offer your followers the excellent opportunity to win this giveaway. Me? I love fireworks! I like the second choice 'chickies' print for your carry-on to visit your Mom (lucky her) while you attend the quilt show in Sisters' Oregon!! Have a wonderful week!

  3. My preference is the pattern and Bits & Bobbins. Great giveaway. Thanks.

I love fireworks, especially over water, IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT - Meaning I enjoy going downtown Panama City to watch the display over the Bay on the 4th of July. I feel the at home fireworks are a waste of money, not to mention Dangerous! You will not see me lighting one. Happy quilting!

  4. I am glad you survived your first week back at work. I most of missed the post about you going back and I don't know what you went back to?
I don't really like fireworks I think they are waste of money and cause noise pollution and I was always afraid for my children. But I most admit that they can be beautiful from far away. I like the sewing basket patter and either print is pretty for the carry on. I am a follower .

  5. I just got some of the Bits & Bobbons - plenty of fabric here - so I would be happy with just the pattern and someone else can enjoy the fabric. I do love your porch and view. Fireworks were in awe as a child, but I would rather stay home around a fire pit roasting marshmallows for smores.

  14. Awesome give away. I love it all actually and your tote it going to be super cute.
I'm not a big fireworks fan any longer, use to love them as a kid, now they just cause my pups so much anxiety that it's 40 minutes of torture around town when they are all going off.

  15. Thanks Wendy, I didn't even know I was a no reply blogger. I guess that is the hazards of using Google Reader rather than being a follower on blogger huh. I am now a follower and I'll leave my email here for just in case, mborck@charter.net

  17. What a lovely view! I like to watch fireworks, just not in the close vicinity where there is all the traffic hassle.

Would love the pattern and Bits and Bobbins. Either of your batiks sets will make a fantastic tote - batiks are my faves.

  23. I don't do a lot of sewing - I do a lot of quilting, so I'd be thrilled with just the Bits & Bobbins fabric! I enjoy watching fireworks, but I don't buy them. I wish they didn't have them this year, though, because our entire state is in drought conditions and wildfires have been numerous.

  24. I LOVE the Bits and Bobbins fabric...beautiful. As far as fireworks, go...I enjoy watching at a distance. As a child, we would walk down to the beach and watch them being "set" offshore. Wonderful memories :) However, as I have gotten older, I find I do not enjoy watching them up close and personal...haha.

  36. I love the Sewing Book Collection fabrics. I'd love to make a lovely sewing bag with it. I love watching fireworks. Although I do think that sometimes they spend way too much money on them! I'm a follower too! Thanks for the great giveaway.

  37. Pattern & Bits & Bobbins and very nice of you to give it away! I've been a follower for quite some time, love your blog. I used to like fireworks when my children were small, but they're grown now and one of our two dogs HATES fireworks. At my age, all they are is a nuisance and make the air so thick that it bothers my asthma and allergies, so I'd just as soon skip them...but LOVE the 4th of July barbeque that we have. Thanks!
